Hognose Hatching

Only five eggs in this clutch. So far four have pipped, and I have three hets and one albino. No albino pics because the battery died before he stuck his head out. I think the fifth egg is also an albino. :D

Sweet.......I want a male albino :D

Their colors don't show up too good in these pics. Better ones once they are settled in and feeding.

those are so cute!! i just have a normal, but if i get another one i want to get an albino female! i doubt it will happen, i had a hard enough time convincing the wife to let me get this one.

Thanks. I ended up with what I believe to be 0.2 Albinos and 2.1 Hets. Don't want to probe them since they are so small, and I'm new to the whole sex-by-tail-length thing.

I can't get one of the albinos to eat, though. :(

ouch sorry to hear that. i'm glad i haven't had any issues as of yet. are you water scenting the pinkies? the breeder i got mine from mentioned that sometimes they are more inclined to accept if you dip the pink in water before offering. might go back to them eating toads? not sure. luckily mine is a glutton. I'd say you could try scenting with a toad, but then you might run into other problems.

those ablinos are nice!

Cool! I just found out about hog noses today really, I saw a few babies at the reptile show I was at... They're cool! i like the albino ones alot. Now i want one... I guess they're venomous but not to humans??? :rolleyes: must learn.
