Re: My babys belly is wierd
I have had my BPs for a few months, so I am no expert by any means!
I was worried about the same thing when I got mine.
A couple of things that should be addressed.
What is your whole set up?
From what you keep him in and on.
What is his humidity?
what do you use for hides?
What do you use to measure temperature and humidity?
what are you using for temperature control?
Mine get the pink belly, the adults only when going into shed, the younger ones more often.
Hope this helps some.
Mike

My settup is a 20 long aspen shavings, uth, humidity is at a fluctuating 50-70, hot side 85-90 cool side 80-75, he has a cool little zoo-med hide and a piece of driftwood to climb on

I'd definitely give him a lot more closure and another identical hide. He seems like he'd be stressed in that envorinment. Here is a picture of my 20 gallon long setup:

Also try getting a digital thermometer and hygrometer instead of those gauges.. they aren't accurite. I got mine from walmart for only $20. The Acu-Rites are even cheaper.
Re: My babys belly is wierd
Dial thermometer and hygrometer are not accurate and I would highly suggest that you replace them, so you get an accurate reading of both temps and humidity.
You are saying the belly has been pink for a month, do you have a thermostat?
