    How much substrate?
I have a 20g long tank and am wondering how deep you all recommend the substrate be? I hope that makes sense:juggle:

I have basically just enough, maybe a tad more, to cover the bottom of the tank and I'm using Repti-Bark. I have never owned a snake before though so I am not sure how much I should be adding for my BP.

I use a combination repti-carpet and aspen bedding, and I use enough bedding to cover it all, about a 1/4 of an inch. Honestly, if you use an UTH too much substrate can detract from the heat, so be sure to maintain proper temps when using substrate.

Hope that makes a little sense.

Okay thank you! It sounds like I have about enough in there then. From some posts it sounded like people had a lot more in there so I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing.

1/4 inch is all you need. especially if your using belly heat.
