    breeding and feeding
So I had my 2 pastels paired up. And I gave them a break and I attempted to

feed but the female didn't eat. Well All signs say she is gravid but I haven't

spotted an ovulation yet so I want to keep pairing but Should I not pair them

up again due to the female not eating. I don't want her to be to fatigued.

Does she need the food to continue to pair up or will it be fine? She hasn't ate

    in a month'ish.

Ball Pythons generally go off feed during the breeding season. Males will go off feed because they are more interested in breeding than they are in eating. Females will fast as follicles grow and as they become gravid. If she has good body weight (which I assume since you are breeding her), she should be fine. One of my females refused food for 2-3 months before laying her clutch this year. I'd continue pairing her until you get eggs or until you decide to wait until next season (if she still hasn't laid eggs later in the year). Good luck with her!
