    Hello from Texas
Hello Everyone! I originally posted this in the wrong section, so I am reposting! My name is Chris. I am a new member, and this is my first time owning a herp. I am from the Houston area. I have a Ball Python that I got about a 1 1/2 months ago. The best I can guess, she is 3-4 months old, and I LOVE HER!!!

I come from a different forum (I won't mention the name) that I didn't like. I am a live feeder, and apparently, the people on the other site don't like that too much, and weren't afraid to tell me about it. I search the forums looking for information, and support- not judgement! Just becuase I choose to feed my snake live prey, doesn't mean that I don't love her. It's just a choice that I have made after tons of research and thought.

This site appears to be much closer to what I am looking for. So, I just thought I would give a quick hello shout, and say in advance, thanks for the warm welcome!!

    welcome to bp.net! :snake:
i feed live if i have the right size rat on feeding day otherwise i feed frozen thaw, to me its more natural and it gives them something to do, there isnt much fun in constricting a dead rat IMO.

haha! Yeah, I know what you mean. That's probably the main reason I feed live as well...it's just much more natural. I have had people say that it's inhumane to feed live, but these are the same people that put a baby rat in a sack and smack it against a wall. lol I wonder how that's humane!?!?

yeah when i meet someone like that i just say how do you think they do it in the wild. Nature is cruel sometimes thats just how it works.
IMO there isnt really a humane way to euthanize feeders

sorry for going offtopic a little
once again welcome to the site :)
