    Poking her head out?
So I just fixed a bunch of husbandry issues with my setup recently. My ball still sometimes roams the tank for a few minutes during the day as well as night. For instance, right now she is in her warm hide, but her head and about 4 inches is poking out. Maybe she is hungry since she refused food last week, or is there still something I have to worry about?

my gurl does the same thing... she hasnt eaten in two weeks now ...
i think the change from her being kept in tub most of her life to changing to a tank is taking an effect on her but i dont kno if it is the same for you ... wuz she raised in a tub ?

No, but I did just change locations, and have changed some stuff in the tank. Maybe she's still getting used to the new stuff.

    Hi,

Sounds like the normal BP "ambush" pose. :)

I usually see that as soon as I start prescenting the room on feeding night.

I like to get the food nice and warm and then introduce it slowly to about four inches away - you have to be carefull not to scare some of the smaller ones with the food as fear will generally overide the feeding response and make them run and hide instead.

Now she's sticking her butt out haha. I'm not worried about this, but it looks funny.

LOL my girlfriend and I were just having this same discussion. My 400g male (he was325g almost a month ago, man he's growing fast) likes to sit in his cool side hide and poke just his head out, and just kinda chill out there. He's not hungry though, I mean he does it right after I feed him 2 mice (~50g or so) and pretty much all week as well. His husbandry is good, 93 on the warm side, 83 cool side, humidity is around 55%. When I reach in to handle him he doesn't strike me, or anything, just lets me pick him up. He doesn't seem stressed, he eats like a champ, and all in all seems happy, so I'd say that this seems to be pretty normal (albeit I have not been into BPs for that long).
