    Good barn find!
    Went out to the barn and picked this baby up. Never struck, just kind of hung out for a while. Very fast!!

    Congrats, I'd love to find any type of snake in my backyard! My husband found one yesterday but apparently did not want to meet me and hid before I could get outside.

    Nice find! I hardly ever find snakes in my yard... once in a while I'll find a juvenile black/eastern rat snake though.

    Being in northern illinois we seldom come across snakes. But my sisters farm is full of wildlife of all types. This looks like the same one I caught last year, who knows.

    there are actually several of the fox snakes out here. Her place is the only place I have seen them in years! Most of her place is covered in prairie type grasses and she has a creek running thru the property. Lots of wildlife!
    She has a 8" snapper living in her rubber pond. This is his second year here. He is so used to being around people, he just sits there with all of us standing around watching him. I will have to get a pic of him.
