    Scale Rot + Shed = ???
:snake:Hey everyone, If anyones read my last topic you would know my BP has a very mild case of scale rot (on only 2 scales and it doesnt even cover them) i treated him using some ointment my vet gave me a while ago incase of scale rot, layed a paper towel over his cocoa fiber, and allowed the tank to dry out. He is doing quite well, the scale rot hasnt gotten any worse and it looks alot better now but is still lingering a little bit. He is also about to shed, he has a nice pink belly. I would like to know what I should be doing with humidity now. Do I keep it dry in there and deal with the bad shed when it happens, or do I go about my regular increased humidity becuase of the shed. Hes in a glass tank with a metal top that snaps on, and I have a false bottom set up becuase it is exceedingly difficult to keep his humidity up using the current set up. What should I do?

60% humidity. If he has a nice complete shed, the scale rot might clear up completely. Especially if it is mild. I would try moving him to a 15qt tub temporarily to help with the humidity and make sure the scale rot doesn't get any worse. All you need is a UTH and a tub, then drill about 10-20 holes (or how ever many gives you the correct humidity) and use just paper towels for substrate. If you can't get the humidity right in the normal setup, maybe just switch to a tub all together :P they are so much easier.
