    Shedding problem...w/ pics
This is only the second shed for my BP since I've had him. The first one went real good. I gave him his humid hide and he shed fast and perfectly. This time isn't happening. I noticed yesterday only half his head has come off and it looks like both his eyes caps are still on too. I soaked him for half and hour to see if it could help him but it seems he isn't even trying to get the rest off. I looked at him this morning and he hasn't done anymore to it. So I am assuming I am going to have to get the rest off for him. I have never done this or seen this before so I am just needing some help on how to get it done as safe as possible. Especially how to get the eyes caps off. I someone could talk it through to me and give me any needed tips that would be great. And if anyone knows any videos online that I could watch that would be helpfull too. Thanks. The second pic kinda shows it a little better.

When my snakes are having an issue with shedding I use this stuff called Zoo Med Repti Shedding Aid.... I pick it up from Petco and it works wonders with my Garter that is not able to shed on it's own......Other than that I would use a warm wet wash cloth and "wash" your little one from head to toe. Continuously rubbing from head to tail..... Of course I have heard thought that a BP takes a few days to shed so maybe see if it finishes up tomorrow or the next day first?

Put him in a damp pillowcase, and the tie it at the top. The remaining shed will come off while he roams around. Keep him in there for around 45 minutes or so.

    Good luck.

They might come off with the pillow case treatment. If not you can get those rubber thumb things from an office supply store and try to genty rub it off from front to back. be very gentle if you are trying to remove eye caps.

Should I give him more days to see if he could do it himself or should I start trying to do it for him? I am just not sure what is the normal allotted time it should take them to shed. it has been at least 3 or four days since his blue eyes where gone but it could have been more. And I just noticed yesterday that he did shed his head like that but didn't go any further. He had crapped a lot in his hide too yesterday. Or well I guess the night before yesterday, but I noticed it and cleaned it yesterday.

Well, after they clear up, they should shed in one full piece. Try the pillowcase thing once a day for 30min and see how much you can get off. If they aren't off in a few days then try the rubber thumbs. Just be absolutely certain that he has a retained eye cap because if he doesn't, you could seriously injure his eye.

I can tell they are there because there is a sorta pale, crackled look to his eyes, not smooth and glassy like they usually are.
Some else to me just to soak him and shed him manually ,but I think I will try the pillow case thing first becuase that will probably be less stressful for him.

I am always a little nervous about soaking because many people have accidentally drowned their snakes this way. The pillowcase is much safer and the snake stays much calmer. And yes, use room temperature (tepid) water. It shouldn't feel hot or cold to the touch.
