    About Carpet Python behaviour
Hello! I have a Carpet Python male which I'm keeping at least 2 years, he's eating mice since he arrived at my house. But these 3 months, he's really hungry, but he isn't in the mood to eat. Then, yesterday I put a Hamster inside, he ate it immediately, but he had never eat a Hamster before. Have you guys ever tried this situation before?

    Re: About Carpet Python behaviour
My advice is to not feed him any species that you cannot get on a regular basis. I'm not a carpet pythone expert(only had mine a couple of weeks), but in general, "picky" snake eaters are a pain to deal with if they decide the only thing they want is eating $10 hamsters from the pet store.

What have you tried offering your carpet python? Live? F/T? Anything besides mice(and the one hamster)?

I would double check husbandry, since snakes that are stressed can sometimes refuse to eat.

Also, how big is your carpet python?? Mice might be a little small for him at 2 years old. Personally I would try an appropriately sized rat.
