Bullfrog lovers...I need your help

I thought it would be really cool for my grand son to watch a tadpole turn into a frog. There are massive amounts of bullfrog tadpoles at a nearby pond but I wouldn't want to remove one if there was a chance I would be harming the little squirt.
I would return it to the same pond once it matured.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Are there care sheets for tadpoles? Any other info I should be aware of?

I had a bunch once...when it wasn't illegal to take them out of the water here.
