    HSUS & Michael Vick
HSUS and Vick as spokeperson?! What is wrong with this picture. While I'm all for second chances...sometimes this is nuts!

I had a few choices words also, insane wasn't one of them. I am an avid opposer to HSUS. They should be tared & feathered

Well seeing as HSUS's goal is to end all pet ownership, they might as well team up with someone who was killing dogs.
Both of them can go hang. I am glad to see Vick trying to reverse some of the "cool" factor of dog fighting that he encouraged in folks who hero-worshipped him. I don't think he changed HIS mind about whether it's right or wrong, but as long as he publicly helps end dog fighting, I'll give him a couple points towards rehab.

But I still don't like him.

While my personal view is that Michael Vick cares nothing about animals and is doing whatever he has to do to get back into football, an organized group such as the Humane Society often considers it as a great coup to take one of your prominent enemies and display them publicly as someone that has changed sides on an issue. For example Norma McCorvey was given the pseudonym of Roe in the famous case of Roe vs Wade. She had the baby concerned in the suit, announced herself to be a lesbian and now is firmly against abortion, and Rights to Life groups often transport her to demonstrations and put her right out front. She tells the media that everything that she said in the suit was a lie and that she was used by a pair of lawyers that was looking for a shill to promote their agenda. The Humane Society could use Michael Vick as a shill to reach an emotional response from people and get them to donate money to them. When Communist Governments were still prominent they would get their enemies to sign confession documents and parade them around to give speeches about their crimes.
