    feeding
We just bought a ball python and she wasn't eating frozen food. After 3 weeks of not eating we decided to try live fuzzies ...... We fed her on friday and she ate the live fuzzy no problem. Saturday night we decided to try feeding her again and she ate 3 more fuzzies. Is there such a thing as over feeding your ball python???

:welcome: You only need to feed your snake every 7 days, unless it is under weight, then every 5. Feeding too often can cause them to go off feed. How old is the snake? how much does it weigh? The rule of thumb for BP's is 10-15% of it's body weight is what the prey item should be.

Thanks for replying..... im not too sure of the age of Miley, She is 16" long. We are just learning and we are new parents LOL.
We dont know the weight of Miley.... Lately we have heard different ways to feed and how much to feed her. When we put the fuzzies in she kept eating so we assumed that it was ok. We asked a few people and they said it was ok to feed her the 3 fuzzies. Now that she ate after 3 weeks should we just feed her one fuzzy a week?????
Thanks for any help you can give us.

I would increase the size of her meals, offer her an adult mouse or 2 weekly, a digital scale is a must have :) walmart under $20

Well shes still a baby, we were told to feed her fuzzies it doesnt seam like she would eat a larger mouse.. We fed her that much only because she never ate in 3 weeks..... should we try to feed her a fuzzy or two first before upgrading????
