enclosure size BP

Need some advice on a custom enclosure

Is a 4' by 2' by 2' enclosure too big for a 1 year old BP. I still have my snake in a 10 gallon tank and need to upgrade. I found a really nice tank but it may be too large.

If hides are provided will the snake still thrive?

waaaay to big. Its not really about providing hides, its ablout the enclosure temps and humidity. With something that size, it will be really hard to keep the temps in the correct range.

Security would also be an issue with such a small snake in such a big enclosure.

wait so 48 inches long, 24 inches tall, and 24 inches deep? thats like 120 gallons, no? HUUUUuuuuuge, way oversized.

I like to use about 4 square feet of area for large adult females. I typically have less then, or up to 1 square foot for hatchlings to yearlings and 2-3 square feet for subadults to small adults. This is floor space, I don't think that they care about height a lot.
