    Did someone say superstripes?
So, my 09 clutch of coastals started hatching Monday. This was a clutch from my Lemke line and both parents were 02 stripe siblings. I have really tried to keep refining this line and I think I have some real winners here. The stripes in this line of coastals is genetic.
I got quite a bit of what I expected and I got some really interesting babies. I will let you guys decide.
    Hatching:

    The males:

    The females:

And a few select possible holdbacks:

so, michael... does this exceed your expectations for the pairing? i know we talked about the mode of inheritance and whether or not you'd see 'superstripes' or not.

i'm excited for the clutch, you deserve it!

Yes and no. When I get them out of the tub and sex them before putting them in the baby rack, they are pretty calm with an occasional wiggler. After they get settled in and have their first shed, they can be a bit nippy but tend to grow out of it with some handling and age and size.

You know, I talked with Nick about this. You saw the pics of the one he cherry-picked from me last year and his adult female from this line. The colors seem to have intensified and the stripes gotten more regular; like a true tiger.
We figured there would be some form of "super" stripe but not like a super in regular co-dom fashion.

    Thanks homie!

It's getting harder and harder to avoid the coastal/carpet bug. Hmmm. I might have to go through the caresheet one more time. :)

Michael! What an awesome bunch of spaghetti noodles you have there! :D Seriously, they're amazing! I hope you'll share more pics as they shed and grow!!

Dang, I miss seeing you and hanging out at shows! We're planning a trip to Dallas to see the family sometime this summer....hopefully I can time it around a local show, and hopefully you might be there, too!
