Shipping???

Has anyone ever shipped to Africa??? I am asked to ship to Africa but wonder how much this would cost??

You would have to ship from airport to airport, you will also need to apply for Cities which that alone can take couple of months.

As for price of all that I am not really sure.

First, is it a scam, or legitimate offer?

I would not send an animal overseas until you did a thorough search on the BOI. :gj:

Also be aware most transactions involving the word "africa" are an out and out scam.

Watch out for such tricks as "I'll send a cheque or bankers draft for this amount over if you pass it onto my contact in your country" - you send the money on and, shock of shocks, your bank discovers the original was a fraud and you are out the animal and the money.

CITES paperwork is required (as mentioned above) and isn't cheap. I think most breeders charge $500 to process that paperwork. Then you'll need to ship airport to airport.

Actually it isn't a bp it is something I had for sale on cl but I was really weary from the start as I had the item posted for 350 obo and they offered 450 including shipping. But they were way to eager to put money into my paypal acct and have read a post on google about it and I am hinking it is a scam so I am just going to keep it! Also they would not answer some of my direct questions about where they wanted me to ship and asked if they had a cell phone to send pics but they just ignored the questions and answered only what they wanted! So to anyone who is trying to sell anything be very weary as I have read that they will send you a fake verification supposedly from paypal saying that the deposit was made to your account but IT IS FRADULANT!!!!! Thnaks for the input!!!! :gj:

Well cripes, who's dumb enough to believe an email and not go to their paypal account to verify funds. If people get scammed its because they need to. This is not the 50's, and bet they wont get scammed again.

The blatant obvious to you isn't so obvious to many others.

Although, I do agree that those who think someone from Africa needs their help to transfer millions of dollars and they get a cut of it? LOL...maybe so.
