    When slitting eggs...
...Do you also cut the membrane the snake is in? I have never hatched a clutch, much less slit one, so I am getting all the needed info beforehand. Tuesday makes day 55 , and I can see them moving inside the eggs now. The eggs are very dimpled now, so anytime now

I cut all the way through. But I usually only cut after they've slit an opening, or when at least one/some have slit.

I typically attempt to not cut the membrane. However, this is not always an easy task. I would say that 95% of the time I cut it, because I can't avoid it. The primary concern here is to cut as few veins as possible.

The Best thing to do especially if your are new to the hatching scene is to leave them alone , if you dont have the exp. in cutting eggs then i suggest dont cut them .

for a new person i would say the only reason you should be cutting the eggs is if they have not yet piped themselves and its past the hatch deadline ..
