    Picture Request.
I am on day 49. does anyone else have any eggs this age? If so can you post a picture of them?

Getting a little nervous. My humidity is still just under 100% and my eggs are deflating BIG time. They are still white, and I can clearly see the snakes (and patterns) when candeling.

One more question... if you cut, on what day do you cut?

    thanks!

I'm a week behind you at day 42. Eggs begin to dimple and become soft a 2-3 weeks before they hatch. This makes it easier for the little hatchlings to cut through the egg shell. Mine are just now starting to "deflate".

I can try to get some pictures for you during the next week if you still want them, but I'm trying to only disturb the eggs during their weekly egg-tub airing session which was about half an hour ago.

Mine are on day 46 in this picture (taken yesterday); they actually started dimpling about a week ago, but have slowed going any further the past day or so. I don't cut until the first one pips.

Is there anything special you are supposed to do with the eggs at this point? I read somewhere where a guy puts damp newspaper over the eggs at this point to help soften them up.

Last year when I was a bit concerned with the early denting, I wet and wrung out a paper towel with water that was warmed in the incubator and laid it across the tops of the eggs (without smothering them). It seemed to arrest any further denting.
