    mice questions...
Sorry about all these questions. I figure it gives someone something to do. haha. =]]

    1. whats the difference between mice and rats?

    2. I have a 2 foot long ball python which should I breed to feed her?

If I do breed them I was going to get a pacman frog and a milksnake, or king snake. not to sure which yet.

    3. what do they eat?

    4. how many babies can they have at one time?

    5. how long does it take for them to have their babies?

    6. what do they eat?

I havent found a good forum.
    thank you everybody. =]

I hate to sound like this, but you are on a good forum. I normally am not the one to say "search", but google breeding mice, any of the results you get will answer almost all of your posted questions. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, and I'm sure we can help.

As far as breeding them here are the pro and cons

Mice smell more than rats however there are bedding that will cut down on the smell.

Mice never outgrow the size you need to feed to your BP however they grow slowly

Rats grow fast however they quickly also outgrow the size many feed which means if you do not have many snake you might need to euthanized them and freeze them if you do not want to be over crowded with oversized rodents

Mice are harder to start however one you get started they are as easy to breed as rats.

Between the BP and you future purchases I will say mice. This way you will have pinkies and adult mice and the prey will never outgrown your needs and you will not have to worry with euthanasia and freezing

If I do breed them I was going to get a pacman frog and a milksnake, or king snake. not to sure which yet.

Milks and kings eat mice starting with pinky mice for young individuals and slowly moving to bigger preys. They will eat anything..............Pacman I have no idea so I will let someone else answer that one

    4. how many babies can they have at one time?
The average is 6 to 12....................I average 12-17 with mice :O and 9-14 with rats.

    5. how long does it take for them to have their babies?
    Gestation is 21-23 days

    6. what do they eat?
You want to feed nutritious food not the junk from pet stores so ideally lab blocks designed for breeder rodents would be your best choice..........I use Mazuri 6 F

I didn't mean to come across as "mean", but I was just suggesting that you search a little before asking so many questions. I guarantee it took Deborah longer to type her very informative post than it would have for you to find 90% of the answers on your own.
