    A Busy Weekend
I didn't plan on this weekend going the way it did, that's for sure. Then again, whoever expects everything to go exactly as planned?
We went to Petco this on Saturday to get some supplies for out currentl family of snakes and we made plans to meet a local breeder to look at a Salmon Hypo Red Tail Boa. When we got to petco, we found the employee stocking the reptile cages with a fresh shipment of Normal Ball Pythons. If you had the P.A.L.S. Membership card, which we did, the Balls were only $24.99. Uh oh......4 Ball Pythons later and we were headed to look at the Hypo RedTail. Of course we fell in love with the Hypo and she is now home with us as well.
If that wasn't enough, we adopted a pure bred Husky yesterday to boot. So, in 2 days we managed to add 5 snakes and a dog to our ever growing zoo of animals. On top of that, I have a Pastel Ball coming on Wednesday and in 2 weeks I will be getting a male Slamon Hypo Red Tail to go with the female I got Saturday.
It's definitely been a busy weekend. I will post pics of the new members of the family when they've gotten acclimated to their new surroundings, hopefully in the next week or so.
When does the madness end? :rolleye2:

Just curious, How are you housing and quarantining everyone?

You seen to have been getting a lot of snakes in a very short time period.

I live in Upstate New York, not the city. I have enough room for the ones I have but I am not gettting anymore at this point.
Each snake has their own tank and I have them in seperate rooms of the house so they are not in contact with one another. I have one in each bedroom and one in each bathroom, so all is good at this point.
Once QT is over then they will will go into the Reptile Room and join the others on the shelves I have built for their tanks. ;)

That's awesome! I've been to our Petco about 5 times and have to look at everyone. I'm lucky I haven't ended up with any of them. However, I still have my two new ones in QT and need to work on my rack before I get any more. Our Petco has their bps in terrible condition with only 30-40% humidity. They all have stuck sheds.

It makes it so hard because I want to take care of them, but then again it's easier. Taking them would be a lot of work.

Congrats on the new memembers of the family!

I'm curious to see what you found at Petco. Anything crazy? I was at Petco too this weekend looking for dog lifejackets (ha ha ha, don't ask) and the BPs there were priced and 39.99 :( and they were sold out. I always like to see is we can find anything interesting. Your QT sounds great too (mites on pet store snakes are almost always present) :(.

Congrats on your family additions ;)

They all will go to the vet tomorrow morning for their initial physical. All appear to be free so far from any respiratory illnesses and are very active. All of them also ate last night with no problems and they all take frozen/thawed so that is a HUGE plus. These babies came from a local breeder as well and are captive bred, not wild caught so the hostility and willingness to strike isn't present either.
I will get them sexed when they are at the vet but all are said to be males. We'll see when I get them back. Pics to follow in the coming days...
