Tubs Tubs Tubs

We are about to build some racks, and are really annoyed that Sterilite discontinued all the tubs we had looked at in the past. :rage:

So I'm wondering what brand tubs people recommend that are hopefully not too expensive. And of course they have to have a reasonable selection of sizes/shapes that work well for BPs and corns. What stores carry what brands, or are there places to order them online that don't cost a fortune?

i would say just go to every local place you can find tubs at and pick the ones you find suitable and have enough of them

Do you have a walmart near by?? I have just built a rack with a work bench ontop and got all my tubs from there for 8 bucks a piece. Here is my first attempt at building a rack! LOL

They are sterilite 40 Qt tubs they came with lids but made the rack so I didn't need to use them.

Already went to Walmart, Kmart, and Target, and didn't find a good selection at any of them, although all 3 had lots of empty shelf space, so I do plan on checking back.

Yeah, the issue with the Sterilite tubs is they don't make a medium size anymore. So I could use the 6 qt and 41 qt, but I also need at least one medium size.

they make 15qt 28qt 32qt (of a couple diff styles) and i think one more just have to keep going back stores sell out. ask when they get their truck and keep going back.

Yeah I had to keep going back and checking at walmart cause they wouls have the tubs and no lids and vice versa. I think it took me 3 trips or so to get everthing I needed. So just keep checking

Hmm. Maybe it is just that my local Walmart has stopped carrying some of the sizes of Sterilite? I thought I remembered reading on the forums about them discontinuing part of their line. Guess I'll have to try a different Walmart.

I'd still welcome suggestions of other brands/stores.

they discontinued some of their tubs but replaced them with a diff design in the same size or a size close to it

Yea I'm also pretty sure that sterilite slightly changed the 32qt tub design. They don't fit into the racks that used the old tubs but if you're making a new one then you should be fine. Just pick up some extras in case they decide to switch it again :)
