    question about wiring a ranco
So I wired my new ranco exactly the way the step by step showed me on rcreptiles and there is power to the machine, but the red light on my powerstrip doesn't turn on. so I got a new powerstrip and tried agian from scratch and the same thing. I can't let my wife be right, she told me just to pay the extra and have in pre-wired. lol

First, double check the wiring. Then check it again.

Is the power strip turned on? Is the thermostat clicking on?

Get the thermostat to click on and double check the strip is turned on.

I've used the RCreptiles site to wire Rancos before, the instructions are fine. I would also recommend using grounded wires and power strips. Just tie the green wires together.
