Texas Fence Lizard Help

:confused:I'm probably just being dumb but, a fence lizard is laying her eggs right now under some rocks around my front yard flower bed. So far only 2 eggs, but there is a fire ant pile about 2 feet away from her and they are starting to go into the hole she has dug. I'm was wondering if the ants might mess with her or the eggs? I don't know much about lizard eggs, don't have a incubator to bring them in. Do you think they will be ok? Any suggestions? Let nature take it's course?

We had a "bumper crop" of fence lizards lately around here. Some of the bigger ones are pretty "friendly" as far as letting you get close by without running off. Id guess the eggs have a soft shell? If there is any smell to them I can guarantee the ants will find them ... Id put some sort of ant bait on the mound and hope for the best for the eggs.
