ARe they Ready yet

My first litter just wondering when to wean them.

Its been about 3 weeks since they hatched some are eating on there own but i still catch them nursing when should i throw the mother back in with the breeding pop?

if they are eating on their own,then they are safe to be on their own.

I don't separate females from the colony personally.

I don't either. They'll be fine to wean.

I wean mine as soon as I notice them eating food and looking like they are not in need of mommy anymore, it is usually between 18-22 days though.

I leave mine in with the parents until they are adults. They grow alot faster when left with parents and ive never noticed any problems with new litters from the moms.

This is true. I've noticed that when I have gotten lazy or ran out of room in the past they do grow alot faster left in with the parents, but in my case it seemed that the moms did not look as healthy having to nurse new litters and still having all of the previous generation around. Maybe it's just in my mind, maybe I'm just thinking about how stressed I'd be with that many kids around me all the time.:O
