    The last few times we have tried to pick up Jake, he has hissed at hubby. I was sitting 5 feet away and heard his hiss tonight.

    Is this a security/stress thing???

    Probably. Maybe the snake is going into shed?

    Could it be heavy breathing, whistling or wheezing?

    No. This was in direct correlation to Nick sticking his hand into the aquarium. It sounded like air being let out of a blow-up anything. Long and loud.

    He just finished his shed, we soaked him on the 30th and got the rest of the skin off then.

    Maybe he is just pissed off? I don't think its anything to worry about, just give him some alone time :)
