well guys i got my bp a lil less then a month ago, give or take a couple days.

    n well HE WONT EAT!!

i get a live small rat once a week and he wont eat.

idk whats going on with him.

when i put him in his feeding tub with the rat he smells it and then he tries to escape from it well not try he does escape from it. im getting really worried so if someone can help me out it would be greatly appriciated.

Where did you pick him up from? Maybe ask the breeder what they were feeding him? Have you tried a Mouse? Mine are all currently on mice (larger balls take 2 mice per week), but I am going to switch them over to rats (rat pups) as soon as my 2 litters of rats are big enough.

Has he ever ate for you, what is his weight, what are you keeping him in? Maybe he was feed something other than what you are giving him and he feels uncomfortable. try f/t, or just keep going on with what you are doing and he will eventually eat. A common occurrence associated with a bp not eating is because they feel uncomfortable in there surroundings. What is he kept in, and how is your husbandry? Answer all the questions and it will make it easier for people to help. All of us around here are picture freaks and love nothing more then some pictures. So put up some pics of you bp and your setup and maybe we can help more. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Try feeding him in his normal enclosure. Wait 7 days since the last time you offered him food.
