Waiting on a rack system and have few ????
Ok I am waiting on a rack system from basic reptiles and a johnson thermo and just wondered if I am still gonna have to mist to get the humidity right or if people that are currently using racks, is your humidity good or does it fluctuate??

Humidity in tubs stays very constant. You have to expiriment how many holes you need to get the desired humidity though.

Am I really gonna have to drill holes in a complete rack system with heat from a retailer like that?? I didn't think you would since they have no lids on them???

you drill or solder holes in the TUBS for ventilation. The tiny gap from the shelf above to the top of the tub isn't really enough and will probably make your humidity too high.

oh ok cause I had to drill holes in the tubs I am using now but they are from walmart and the rack was made by my bro's girlfriend but we had to use lids so I thought we wouldn't need to make holes. And most of the racks that I see ppl on here have don't seem to have holes that I can see anyways. That's why I was asking. So before I drill any holes see what the humidity is stable at then drill if necessary? And a few at a time to get it just right?

Yep, check the humidity for an hour or two and if it is too high, drill some holes. If it is perfect, then you probably don't have to.

Depending on where you live, & how humid your area is i.e arizona vs fla., I myself have over 200 holes per tub, cause I live in humidity hell, you may not need as many holes, just go buy a cheapo soldering iron, pop in a good movie & make your holes :).

Sart with a few check humidity after 30 minutes, add more holes 'til you get the desired level.

Well I live in Pa and it rarely gets too humid here and besides that the rack is in my furnished basement and it is cooler down here. By the way thanks because I think you are the one who recommended basicreptiles to me a few days ago and we got the Iris wide 8 tub rack with belly heat, Johnsons thermo with built in night time drop for future breeding and a infra temp gun!!! Thanks so much it should be here by the end of the week!!

:) Being up north, you may not need any holes in your tubs, get it up and running for a couple hrs, and go from there.
