Day 60 on eggs due to hatch.
Day 60 and eggs haven't hatched yet. Cut 1 egg on day 56 (May 1) and fully developed snake. Still has a twitch when gently poked. Cut other egg today and has a snake that will also move when poked. incubated eggs at 88 - 89 degrees. Only thing I can think of is that mother was on meds for RI during gestation. I have been told by a Vet and some other knolageable people that meds shouldn't affect developing eggs. Olny have 2 good eggs in clutch. She laid 6 but 2 were way small and 1 boob egg that went bad after a couple weeks. The other egg had some weak looking veins and went bad after a month. Any insights?

I can tell you that 2 years ago, I incubated at 90.5 degrees, and almost all of my babies hatched on day 56 or 57. Last year, I turned down the temps a bit, and incubated at 89.5. Most of my babies came out on day 58. This year, I lowered tempsagain, and am incubating at 88.3 to 88.5. I would bet most of my snakes will hatch around day 60 or 61. I would say give them another 1 to 2 days. If they aren't poking out by day 62, you may want to take a closer look in the egg, and see if you tell if the umbilicus is twisted, and preventing the snakes from absorbing yolk (as that is typically one of the bigger reasons that a snake won't poke out). They can drop the yolk without absorbing, and crawl out, so if the snakes are alive now, I would expect them to hatch with or without a full belly.
