    How long 'til they grow...
I was just wondering how long does it take for a ball python to reach 4' or adulthood...i got my snake like 3 months ago and it was 20" and 3 months later its almost 2'....do they grow at a rapid rate??

I think I read 1 foot a year for the first 3 years.

it depends on a lot of things. first of all the snakes genetics, some will just grow faster than others. seconds the amount of food they get. and third the temperature that they are kept at.
from what ive seen though it seems that by the two to three year mark they will usually be close to full grown.

They grow as much as you feed them. Feed a ball python a mouse every two weeks, it'll grow really slowly. Feed a rat every 5-7 days, they grow quicker. No different than any other animal on the planet.

I would say about 3 years if fed properly.
