    fuzzies
i bought a young ball python at a reptile show about 2 weeks ago, i have feed it too times with no problems, but i am not sure if the mice i am giving him large enough. After he is eats there is barely any bump. The guy at the show told me that fuzzies were the perfect size, are they big enough?

I feed my hatchings rat pups that a close to the size of a medium mouse. you want to be able to see a lump where the food is. but not so much that they look like a foot ball. I think one rule of thumb is to go by the girth of the snake at its widest part. try to get food that is slightly larger than that.

I never fed a fuzzy mice to a ball python if that helps.

Most hatchling are started on hoppers and quickly move to adult mice.

Feed a prey slitghly smaller to equal the girth size of your BP (widest part of your BP's body every 5 to 7 days.
