I have a question about wiring a thermostat
Ok I just bought a rack system that included the heat tape and bought a thermostat to go with it. How difficult is it to wire the therm to the heat tape?? I am waiting the arrival of the rack and the thermostat and was just curios I have never had to wire anything like that before. Thanks for all the help!

There is no wiring needed, you just plug the heat tape into the thermostat. Since you bought it pre-wired

well all you do is get an extention cord and cut the female end off it then split the wires in two. then strip about 1/2 inch of the coating off each end and use pliers to attach the wire to the clamps and the clamps to the heat tape. its really easy actually.

Thanks I believe your the one that sent me to reptile basics! We(My Bro and I) got a rack system and the thermostat and a temp gun from them it will be here by the end of next week I am so excited!!! The rack system is a 9 tub rack and we got it with belly heat and also opted for the Johnson with night time drop for future breeding purposes. So thanks alot I Love Lace!!!!!
