22 ft burmese pythons laying 100 eggs a year?????

wow.
I mean, I've heard of ridiculously huge clutches from true giants of giants.. But I sort of thought that 50-60 was where they topped out.
I'm not going to call it impossible, I have heard of crazier things being true.

the bigger they are the more eggs they can lay. Ive heard of a few clutches in the 70s

I know of one clutch that was 88 eggs. It was a BUNCH of babies. Only 66 hatched but that's still a double handful.

I believe sam and theresa bearden have had a clutch that was over 70 babys. Maybe theresa will see this and reply.

brian from bhb had a clutch in the 90's,i think it was 94 eggs or something,a lot of freaking eggs

I´ve heard from the BHB owner, that their Burmese laid more than 100 eggs.

i have seen in person a clutch of 102. the mother was 20' +/-. i've been out of contact with the owner/breeder for 7 years, so i couldn't tell you if it was consistent....
that was this particular animal's first breeding attempt :D

Yes it is possible. Problem is you don't see many snakes large enough to do it. Most people are breeding their female snakes at the bare minimum weight/age/length. If they would just wait a little longer, their snake would be much bigger instead of them worrying about it getting back to breeding size because it just laid a clutch.
