    Enough Already!
Okay, I'm going to go on a little rant here if you don't mind. If you do, don't read. :) I seem to get slammed (not so much here), but on other forums for the way I cage/care for my younger boa. As I am one of those 'cruel Tupperware' guys. I keep all my young boas in rack systems...such as this one, as well as in smaller rubbermaid for the really young ones as photoed.

I keep them in this type of setup until they hit around the 5ft mark....like this one who is moving into a new home on sometime next week.

I do this for many reasons. Rack systems are dark, which provides a lot of security. A good thing for the really young ones. Also, they hold heat and humidity very well, and are easy to maintain. But most importantly, THEY WORK...SEE

That 4ft boa doesn't take up much space as you can see. And it may seem small but you might shocked to see that they don't mind it. If there are any other keeps who use the same methodology as do for boas. Please feel free to chime in.

I guess my whole point is don't knock it if you haven't tried it. Not everyone cares for their boas the same. And there is no set way to care for them. I, along with many others, do it this was because it works well.

    Pics speak for themselves! Kthksbye!

tanks work well if you have a snake or two. if you have a collection, tubs are a must.

I can see how neglected and cruelly treated that poor animal is. :O

I keep a couple of mine in tubs as well. They sure don't seem to mind, especially the little guys.

Brandon, I think your animals certainly speak for themselves. Between here and other forums i've seen tons of your boa pics and it's obvious they are very well cared for. I have a feeling that people that complain about the racks only have one or maybe two snakes.

Unless I could see something obviously wrong with tubs (which I do not) I would have an opinion on them. I do have my ball in a 10 gal aquarium, and my corn in a XL Critter Carrier (5 gallon) so I don't use the tubs. I would think that racks and tubs would be necessary with more than 2-3 snakes. I know I'm thinking about building a rack and doing the same thing. Your snakes are gorgeous, and look healthy so, I think you're doing a great job.:gj::gj:

Those animals are just sickly looking in those awful tubs... :P.... And just look at the color on those guys.... jeez. He heh he, when I first got into snakes, I kept all mine in glass tanks. When I built my first rack and switched to tubs, I thought "My god! Why didn't I do this sooner?!!! Those darn tanks were such a pain in the butt!!".

Brandon, as long as your snakes are healthy & thriving, don't worry about what others say. I've used tanks, but as my collection began to grow, I built a rack, all my snakes have adjusted well to the move, now I use all the left-over tanks to breed feeders :)

Thanks for the nice comments all. It just irks me that people has to announce what "needs" to be done for me setups. When in reality, it's not much. :)
