Pregnant Behavior
Just a quick question about Balls who are impregnated. I'm curious as to what their behavior is prior to laying their eggs. Do they bask outside alot? I know they don't feed but I'm curious as to what other indications there are that she might be ready to lay eggs.
I have Stimpy, who I adopted last week that appears to me as though she MIGHT be ready to lay a clutch of eggs. The guy I rescued her from told me he kept her and what he thought was a male together in the same tank, but she had never laid eggs before.
Stimpy lays outside all the time, yet the gradient temps and humidity are right on. the humidity is anywhere from 59-61% and the temps on the cool side range from 81-84 degrees and the warm side is 90-93 degrees consistently. She is active and not lethargic, but I'm curious as to why she doesn't use her hides and am wondering if she is getting ready to lay some eggs. if that's the case, then I'll be needing an incubator ASAP.
Any and all help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Pregnant Behavior
before they lay eggs females generally hang out in a perfect coil on the warm side of the cage. they will also be good and fat with kindof a teardrop shape to them. people call this a ridgeback where you can see the spine sticking up. most likely shes not pregnant but you never can be too careful.
