Shipping to Canada (CITES II Species)
Hello everyone!
I had a passing thought, wondering if any of you have an export licence to ship CITES II Species to Canada.
I would like to obtain just a few Candoia c. paulsoni snakes. I have many, but the Canadian supply is limited and (no insult to my own, of course) a bit drab. Solomon Island Ground Boas are hard to come by, let alone CB, let alone in any of the rarer colour morphs (anything other than red, grey and tan, pretty much).
I have communicated with a few US suppliers and breeders, and this is where I've encountered a road block. The largest breeder I know of does not want to bother with paperwork (understandable), and the other suppliers have set a minimum of $3000. $3000 buys way more snakes than I can ever hope to accommodate. Also, I don't have $3000. So it's out of the question to proceed that way. I've considered a group order, but those can be just a huge mess.
So - I know it's a long shot, but I thought I'd ask if any of you fine folk have an exporter license lying around or have a hankering for some paperwork. I am near the border (VT, ME), and would of course prefer to go pick them up myself rather than ship them in (a whole 'nother hassle in itself).
Thanks!
Zoe
