Her First Time and Mine!

So I have been pairing my normal boy and my new girl for a bit, but didn't think much was going to happen(wasn't sure if she had been cooled ect), but as of April 24th and April 27th(my b-day)I have at last seen the first two lock ups!

I am super excited as this is my first breeding and hopefully first clutch of eggs even if they will all be normal! I am just super excited since I love ball pythons and all! :gj: :D

normal x normal is a great way to get more normal girls without having to buy them:) congrats

Yea, thank you, it'll be just so cool seeing some little Miloh's(my super SWEET/tame baby boy) crawling around if I get some good eggs out of her! I am so excited!

i'm just glad i wont be the only poor soul still doing cycles so having to wait forever for the eggs,lol:)

i got one clutch that should drop in like 3 weeks,and one of my breeding partners has one not far behind it sired with my pastel,,but the rest are a long time comin,,,,,,,,

You are a bit behind, eh? Lol, but good luck to you! I hope everything goes good for you. I was actually trying to pair my normal girl with a 609 gram pastel my friend has and was going to let me borrow for a bit, see if he would do his thing....but no lucky with him.

He doesn't seem very much interested at all, and I even used the sperm plugs from my other male and tried the trick of rubbing them on my girl, but nothing. He might be too young still, but he has been showing sperm plugs too, so I don't know.

I can tell you what though, Miloh(my normal) is totally in mating mode! Have you ever had a boy try to do combat with YOU just because you smell like another male you were holding? It's freeeeeaky, he gets fired up and goes crazy! So i had no doubt he seemed ready, and sure enough! He came through for me! :D

never had a male do that,we have a 08 het pied male that is 700grms and he wouldnt go,,just young,my pastel is a late 07,and he will breed your hand if your not careful,have to watch him close,he will lock non stop for a week if you let him

Haha, alright thanks. I was wondering about him and if he was just too young or not. I would bet Miloh would do the same thing as your pastel if I smelt of the female instead and he didn't go into combat mode on me....I take him out after each lock and give him a break though so he doesn't accidentally get locked again and wear himself out or something.

Although I have seen breeders doing a few females at a time, lock after lock -then- giving them a break. What do you prefer and like to do when it comes to your giving males a break?

I am still trying to learn all I can and as you can see by MY little sad collection, I am a newbie. (looks at thread, lol)
