you can try getting some tape and putting it to its eye it work for me but try to do it as gently as you can...also have someone to hold the ball python for you by the head so it wont move around...

Sounds like a humidity issue. What is your humidity?

Well, i guess that's better than too low. I would just give it time. It should come off with the next shed. Or you can take it to a vet, they'll know what to do.

How are you measuring the humidity? 99% is tough to get unless it's a tub with only a couple of holes. If it's a dial type I would replace it with digital.
If you have not tried this give it a shot.
Use a well dampened pillow case and put the snake in. Tie the pillow case up and let him start cruising through it. You can gently rub around his head and body. This will usually work. I advise against the whole tape thing if it can be avoided as you can cause damage to the eye. Good luck.

it is a tub and my brother asked about the humidity and it was suggested that we put more wholes in it... I have the digital types I will try the pillow case if it doesn't come off with this shed... is the dent in his eye a bad thing though?

Sometimes they get dented eye caps from dehydration. Are you offering the snake enough water and changing it often?
