are homemade incubators just as good?
I saw this video on youtube and it shows how to make an incubator and I was wondering if it worked just as well. He made it out of like Styrofoam and then a heating pad. idk it was weird.

Homemade bators work great if they are made correctly with the proper supplies.

So, if I made one like he is doing but maybe with a bigger heating pad so its a little warmer it would work good?

Hi! I dont know how accurate the built in thermometer of a spider robotics thermostat is, but my home made incubator, keeps a very stable temp. It never drops or go up more than .3 or .4 F degrees. For goods results, a fan is a must! Proportional thermostats are also very adviseable.

I have issues with that video, the heat source needs to be controlled by a thermostat, you would also need a digital hygrometer, and possibly a small computer fan for air circulation. Check out the DIY section for some great bator ideas :)

In that tutorial there is a red light, does that have to be there? or is it just so you can see more?
