First BP. got a just got my first ball puthon last wquestion.
I just got my first ball python last week. I bought him off some lady on the internet. The lady told me he is about 1 year old. He is about 24' long. She said hes been eating one mouse a week.

I was just wondering if 2 feet long sounds about right for a one year old bp.

Also how will I know when he is ready to eat more than one mouse a week?

    Yes, it does sound reasonable.

I feed my oct. '08 male one rat pup every week..a good rule of thumb is that the prey item should weigh 10-15% of the snake's weight.

Feeding a rodent the same girth as the biggest part of your snake is another rule a lot of people go by.
