Good Homes?!
Hey everyone, I'm not new to the forums, but I rarely post. Lately I have been pondering the possibilities of getting a new snake. Currently I have two balls, 1.0 normal and a 1.0 pastel and I would like to have a female so that when the time comes I can make some babies! The thing is I am limited in space so... for now I have to keep it to 2 snakes.
That being said, I will need to find a home for my normal, and him being my first snake, I am worried that he will not be cared for properly. How do you all find nice homes for your pets? I fear Mr. Snakey's future when it comes to the petstore, college kids (even though I am one), and craigslist!!! What to do...
Maybe I'm just being a big baby, lol.

Re: Good Homes?!
You're in Georgia so I'd say put him on Craigslist and whenever someone inquires just basically question them about how to take care of him and just feel out for who you think would best take care of him.

Doh, its actually been awhile since I updated my profile. I'm goin to school in daytona.
Your right, I'm sure some friendly questions should do the trick.

Re: Good Homes?!
Make yourself a questions list to ask the prospective new owners, basic questions they should know the answers to right off, If they can't answer correctly then they don't get snake, that should put your mind at ease.
I have 3 snakes that I purchased in the past , and I send email updates/pics periodically to the previous owners.

Re: Good Homes?!
make sure you ask them the questions over a phone call though. If you send it through email they could just look up the info...which is good, but theres nothing that says they'll actually follow the information. With the phone call if they pause you'll know they dont know ;)

Re: Good Homes?!
How much are you wanting for a rehoming fee? There are a bunch of us bp-dot-netters here in Jacksonville that has plenty of room! ;)

Re: Good Homes?!
OOooo, very good! I hadn't thought about it really. However, passing Mr. Snakey off to a fellow BP.netter would be most ideal. We should definately talk.

Re: Good Homes?!
I agree, if you end up not being able to find a bp.netter to take him, I would make sure who ever you adopt him out to can fully care for a ball python
