    Charon's gone...
    On 4/24/2009, Charon took his last breath. I seriously witnessed it. The cause was shed-constriction, that is, a completely retained shed, since he was certainly not thin enough to starve (he was unable to eat because he was in the shedding stage, but that's not why he died). I'm able to live with it, but it is a significant blow to my morale. Condolences would always be accepted.

    I know nothing of WHS, is humidity an issue?

    You know, it may not have been just a stuck shed. Especially if it was just one. It is possible that something else was causing the retention and that it was the cause of death.

    I've never had a snake die from a retained shed and I've seen some that had three or four on them.

    I'm not saying yours didn't, just saying it may be something you had no clue was there.

    Sorry for your loss, they are cool little buggers.
