Male responsibilty....how many females per male?
    Hey everyone,

Looking to start breeding next year, as i look at possible pairings the one piece of information I am looking for is how many females do you pair one male up with in a season?

I am thinking 2 should be ok, any responses would be great:)

Varies on the male,i know breeders doing 7-10 females to a single male, then some males only doing 2,i base it on my males size,my breeder pastel is 700 grams and locks with a ball of yarn if it goes with him,but they can over breed,so i give him 3 days in with 7 days between, hes done 2,and is in cycles with 3 more now.

as long as he gets a rest period then really as many as you want. I personally don't see a difference between breeding 5 females 10 times each or breeding 10 females 5 times each either way hes still breeding the same amount of times.
