    That would be a Luna Moth, you are lucky that you saw it, ive seen like two in my life and I'm 16

    Yep, def a luna moth. We have those all over around here. They are actually one of the largest moths that I see around here.

    Agreed, definitely a Luna. We had them all over Missouri.

    Here is a Luna Moth Caterpillar (Actias Luna), that I found. It appeared to in between it's 4th and 5th instar.
