Alura, my wonderful petshop bought female?

Yeah, well she has some wonderful huge spurs and big old hemipenes......SHES A BOY!!!!!....sigh, thats what i get for believing the pets store. This presents some setbacks for my breeding plans next season. I was never able to pop her...him before because shes...HES big and difficult for me to pop as i'm an inexperience poper...But i was able to this morning and TAADAA!!!...best i find out now then wonder why she.....HE (jeeze i cant stop calling him a her) isnt locking/getting gravid. :taz:

take it back to the petshop and tell them you either what a full refund, or you will keep the snake if they give you some money back, or at least give you a disount on the next purchase.

Not a bad idea....i was just gonna take it with a grain of salt lol. I believe there may be a sign that says gender is not garenteed tho... i'll have to go back and check.

I think that if they cannot guarentee the gender on a big snake, they should not be selling it. In the shop I go to, she would not sell then untill she could have them probed by the vet. I would have a talk with the store.

Did you buy it as a female? Did the price reflect this? If they sold it as a female then they mislead you and have to give a refund.

My pet store sells males and females at the same price, and they sell them as un-sexed. They do, however, allow me to sex them. Sorry to hear about that.
