    Do BP's squeek?
Last night when I was changing Oby's water he was out of his hide checking out what I was doing, and I bumped his vine. It fell on him and he jerked back and I swear he squeeked then balled up! I didn't think snakes make noises besides hissing sometimes but it really sounded like he made a "EeeeK" sound.
    Anyone's BP ever eeek?

I don't think snakes can vocalize. If you heard a squeak, there is a possibility of a respiratory infection. Is your snake yawning excessively? Breathing through its mouth? Wheezing? Any mucous in or around its mouth? Respiratory infections in snakes is serious. If you see these signs, you need to get it to a vet asap!

Squeak = Respiratory Infection which equals a trip post haste to your vet to get the problem treated. Respiratory infections in Ball Pythons is somewhat common and can be deadly if not treated in it's early stages.

Squeak can also mean stuck shed, trash in the nostril..RI is allot of times the cause of whistling or squeaking but it's not the only cause. If you rule out other causes then yes a Vet visit is needed but it can be avoided if you find another cause.

    Just my two cents

He hasn't sqeeked since, and he was in blue when it happened. His eyes cleared today so I just took him out for a little while and looked him over. He doesn't have any snotty stuff, and I don't hear anything now. I have only seen him yawn twice both times afer he ate. I am watching him really close.

Maybe it was just a high hiss. I hope so. Could have constricted his air ways when he pulled away, and the hiss sounded like a balloon when you stretch the opening.

Sounds like just some shed stuck in his nose coupled with a fast "gasp" of fear or something. I don't think hearing one squeek should make you scream "AH IT IS A RESPIRATORY INFECTION RUN TO THE VET RIGHT AWAY".

Your snake cannot vocalize, but they can emit air... and air can squeek as noted.

I have a few that are ALWAYS going into a low hiss when I reach for them. Often that comes out like a squeek if I pick them up in mid hiss - I know... I am a slow learner.

Hold the snake to your ear... systematic whistling could mean an RI, but as Ed noted, if you can rule that out, then there may be other things at play.
