Re: Ok maybe a dumb question
People basicly breed them once a year starting in the fall
breeding a female too young has the chance of killing the female and it sounds like the female is small since she laid 2 eggs... i may be wrong on that.
I would recommend putting them in separate tanks so you dont over breed her and it will reduce stress on both of them.
Re: Ok maybe a dumb question
It's been my understanding that 2 eggs is standard for any female gecko.
Re: Ok maybe a dumb question
Yes geckos only lay 2 eggs at a time, you want to keep her weight up and provide with lots of calcium during breeding season, how old is she? how much does she weigh?
Re: Ok maybe a dumb question
In your first post you did not mention geckos. You should separate them to make sure the female is not stressed. They usually will lay again in 21 day or so.
Re: Ok maybe a dumb question
This is what can happen when you don't keep their weight up during breeding season. She is a rescue I took in at only 20 grams back in Feb.

In 2 months, I managed to get her up to 40g

I figured it's assumed when it's in the leopard gecko subforum. ;)
