    Changing Substrate?
Hi. My computer crashed so I havent been connected for quite some time, but in the time that I've been away, my baby BP started eating, and hasn't stopped yet! (very excited, had feeding problems at first)

But the real reason of this post is, I was thinking of changing the substrate in the cage. Right now I've got a 20G long tank, and have had the Reptibark from zoomed (i think) in there from day one, but have been thinking of changing to aspen bedding. Is there a possiblity that it will disturb the snake and she'll go on a hunger strike again? And are there any benefits of aspen over reptibark?

Just wondering if its a bad idea to make the switch. Thanks.

As long as the change in substrate doesn't affect your temps/humidity you will not run into problems. Not sure of the pros and cons as I never used Reptibark and only breifly used aspen before switching to unprinted newspaper.

It may affect his feeding, but if your cage temp/humidity remains good then it may not. I never really liked the repti bark, but thats purely 100% my opinion. I like aspen, and some of the other folks on here use aspen also, each have their pros/cons. It's up to you to give it a shot though.
