I need pics/onfo on monitor cages!
As having just a little hatching I have 3 or so months to design the best cage for our new little guy. I hope to see other peoples setups so that I can try to build a great cage. Any ideas or tips will be a huge help.
Re: I need pics/onfo on monitor cages!
There are many different ways to build cages, just need to make the cage mostly waterproof and seal it all the way plus make sure its off the ground or alot of the heat will be sucked out. Here is one of my cages, i think it will only last until next year then i will be building a trough designed cage that will last forever.
Its an old pic and not the best looking cage but it does the job. It has more dirt and some big logs + a few fake plants to make it look nice. Air temps are in the 80s

these are the troughs then all you due is add a box on top, there is a few keepers using these and they like them.

They come in a few different sizes, try to get the 8ft ones (there about 8x2x2 or 8x2x1 then you build the wooden part on top)
here are other links to how to build a cage

This is going to be my first major building project. My DH will help a bit but as he can't get into the basement I'll be on my own .
