Local Petco & Petsmart Unaware of HR 669

I printed out some fliers and brought them to my local Petco and Petsmart. Neither Manager had heard of HR 669 or received anything from the corporate office on it. They said they would check in to it tomorrow because they need permission to put up the fliers.

Has this happened at the other Petco's and Petsmart's? I was really disappointed but I'm glad I went. I thought for sure at least a dozen people had already been there before me to alert them.

Same here but on a good note, Petland Discount is handing out flyers to customers and have NO to HR699 flyers posted all over the store. Evidently corporate instructed the stores to promote contacting legislators to try and stop this bill.

Same thing here, petco and petsmarts corporate people know about it, but don't bother notifying employees....

I stopped by the Petco and Petsmart that I visited on Thursday to see what they had done with the fliers I dropped off. NOTHING !!! :rage:

The managers didn't know what I was talking about. I showed the Petsmart managers the press release from their corporate office and they said they would follow up. I doubt it.

What a waste of time. They didn't even tell their employees. :tears:

working at Petsmart, i asked my managers about it.
they were unaware as well and i asked if i could have a little paper hanging to at least make people aware, even if i can't be passing out flyers. nope. that's lobbying.
but i'm still talking to the customers who are nice enough to listen :]
