cycle/QT

My question is. Say you have a female that is not quite up to breeding size, but you know she will be up to size by time you put the male in with her. Can you start her on a cycle (lets say august, and she weighs 1200g's) then come november you start to put the male in with her( and at this point she is up to 1500+g's) is that fine to do. Or do you need to wait until she is 1500+ to start her on a cycle? And if you dont have to wait, would starting her on a cycle before she is 1500+ have any effect on the clutch size, health etc....

im new to this, its actually my first year breeding, but i would think that as long as she was 1500 or more before she goes off of feed (or begins producing follicles or ovulates) that she should be fine. The way i see it, she cant fit any food in with as stuffed as she is with eggs, so if she's up to weight before that, she should be fine. but hopefully someone with more experience can elaborate, or disagree :D as needed. hope im right and that this helps!!

There is no way at all to "know" she will be up to weight as they could go off feed as a result of the conditioning or for any other reason for that matter.
